Story: Set in the fictional Cauvery‐banked village of Kothalavadi, the narrative explores rising desperation among indebted farmers. A scrap dealer named Gujari Babu convinces them that the river’s sand belongs to them—not the authorities. The villagers, led by Mohana (Pruthvi Ambaar), begin illegal sand mining. As violence erupts and infrastructures collapse, Mohana, an orphan and labor supervisor, finds his relationship with teacher Manji (Kavya Shaiva) tested amid moral decay, corruption, and opportunistic politics. A police subplot involving IPS officer Parashuram and local leadership further complicates matters.
